Woof!
July 2nd, 2009As I was browsing through the archives today, I came across this photo. It is definitely not perfect. I kept it because it is a great representation of Olivia’s personality. She is a fierce little thing. :)

It’s about time I posted these photos! I met Hailey, Chopper, and their humans at the Venice dog beach and we spent the morning hanging out and taking photos. Hailey and Chopper loved the beach! They knew exactly what to do when we arrived. They waited at the fences leading to the beach, and went straight into the water when they were released. It was so much fun to watch them play and enjoy themselves with their family. I’m now convinced that I need to take Buddy to the dog beach. After all, he’s a Lab so he should enjoy the water!
Chopper is the handsome Boxer, and Hailey is the pretty Boxer mix. Both dogs are rescues, which is wonderful! I think they found the perfect family to give them the best life. They look so happy, don’t they?

Chopper is strong! He loved to play tug-o-war and fetch his sticks.

Chopper getting buried. He was so patient!

I didn’t really take a lot of photos at Dog’s Night Out on Saturday (I know, I know, what’s wrong with me?!?! I was busy talking.). BUT, I did photograph Toby, a handsome Yorkie proudly owned by Candace, the publisher of the fabulous Sarasota Pet magazine. He looked so cute and content sitting in his red rolling carrier. :)

I love detail shots.

I wrote about this fun event on my website, but never got around to posting it here. So this post is a little bit late, but better late than never!
Tonight is dog’s night at the Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota! Come bring your dog and watch the Sarasota Reds play the Lakeland Flying Tigers at 6pm. If you can’t make it tonight, be sure to come the the July 11th game when the Reds play the Port Charlotte Stone Crabs. You can bring your dog both nights! Both dog and human admissions are $5 and all dog admissions benefit the Humane Society of Sarasota County. So you get to have a fun evening with your dog and help a great shelter!
We’ll have a little table and photography display set up, so be sure to stop by and meet us! I’ll bring my camera, so hopefully I’ll have some photos of the four-legged attendees to post next week.
And here’s some Buddy to brighten your weekend. I love my Bud. :)

Here are the final photos from our Pet Photo Day on June 13th. I photographed some of the birds that are in A Pet’s Life. Now, I’m not really a bird person, but these birds were so friendly that I couldn’t help but love them. They perched on my shoulder, nibbled on my earrings, and almost pooped on me. It was fun (but I’m not too sure what I would’ve thought if the bird really did poop on me). :)
Enjoy!
