Random.org Winner #14

And the winner is commenter number 14! Congrats, Brandi! I’ll get you in touch with Uprinting.com so you can get your lovely 16×20 rolled canvas print soon. :)

I asked everyone who entered the giveaway to share their dog’s obsession, and here’s what our winner said: “My dog Belle is obsessed with carrying things in her mouth. It is the cutest thing but sometimes it looks like it hurts she stretches her mouth sooo big! My other dog Jacey is obsessed with looking out the window and waiting for someone or something to pass so she can bark at them.” Buddy is just like Jacey – always waiting for the UPS person to come around so he can bark at him/her!

Congratulations again, Brandi. Enjoy the canvas!

I’ll leave you all with an image of Jouvert, the 14 year old Lab I photographed this morning. Isn’t he handsome?

A Giveaway! | Uprinting.com

Friday, August 13th, 2010

Happy Friday, everyone! I don’t know about you, but I’m so ready for the weekend. Even though it’s going to be busier than I’d like, it’s still the weekend and definitely beats Mondays. There’s just something so nice about winding down at the end of a crazy week, forgetting to do lists and stepping away from the computer. Okay, my weekends (especially this one) involve more computer time than I’d like, but just knowing that it’s the weekend makes my heart happy. So, what better way to celebrate the beginning of the weekend than with a giveaway???

Uprinting.com has graciously offered to host a fabulous giveaway here on the Emilee Fuss Photography blog. They are a small business printing company that offer tons of products, from custom die-cut business cards, to brochures, postcards, banners, and more. The product that we’re giving away looks awesome – 16×20 rolled canvas print!

To enter, simply leave a comment. And to make it fun, share what your pet’s obsession is. One of the dogs at HSSC is totally obsessed with squirrels (and almost got one today), so she gave me the idea. Buddy’s obsessions are lizards and shiny lights (it all started with one laser a few years ago, and he hasn’t recovered yet).

**The not-so-fine print** You must be a US resident (sorry international readers!) and be at least 18 years old. I sympathize with my not-yet-18-year-old readers. I used to hate not being able to enter contests because of my age. But your time will come, lovely people, it will. :)

Contest ends in one week, on Friday, August 20th at noon EST. The winner will be randomly selected using random.org and will be posted on Friday evening.

I can’t wait to read your comments, everyone! Have a fabulous weekend!

1,000 Comments | A Giveaway!

Friday, December 18th, 2009

A few months back I submitted some photos of Buddy to Happy Tails Books for use in their new book about rescued Labs. I was stoked to hear this week that they were able to use two of my photos in the book, on the title page and back cover. My cup pretty much overflowed when I got my copy in the mail today. The book is just beautiful and I can’t wait to read it. It makes me so happy to have my work published in a book, and even happier to know that the book is about rescued Labs. Buddy is famous!

Kyla Duffy of Happy Tails Books has kindly agreed to give our 1,000th commenter a copy of the book, Lost Souls: FOUND! Inspiring Stories about Labrador Retrievers. I can’t believe there have been almost 1,000 comments on this blog. Thank you all for visiting and commenting. I love my readers!

To enter, just leave a comment. The 1,000th commenter and winner of the book will be announced by Sunday, December 20th.

After you comment, head on over to Happy Tails Books and check out their other Lost Souls: FOUND! books about Boston Terriers, Golden Retrievers, Dachshunds, and Pit Bulls. They would make a great Christmas gift!

The Winner

And the winner is…

Debbie of thank Dog. photography! Here is her entry:

Our family always had dogs – but Lady was “my” dog. She was a yellow lab – protective, patient, and very smart. She also had a bit of an adventurous streak. One evening, she darted out the front door and refused to come back when called. Eventually, we all went to bed, leaving the gate open for her to return to the yard. The next morning, my dad got up and went to get the paper — which was normally Lady’s job (every morning, she’d run out in the yard and pick it up and bring it back to him). Well, this particular morning, Lady had returned home from her adventure, and knew she was going to be in trouble. To make amends, she had retrieved the newspaper from every house on the block. So my dad opened the door to find Lady sitting there, surrounded by 20 newspapers, smiling and wagging her tail. Smart girl.

Isn’t that great? I would’ve loved to have been there and seen that. I hope you got a smile out of her story as well!

So, Debbie, just email me your address and I’ll get the greeting cards out to you pronto. I hope you love them!

And here is a photo of exuberant little Olivia Jane from back in January. This photo makes me so happy because I can feel her own joy. She is so full of life and energy! I love you, Livy Bear!
