Holiday Pet Portraits | Part One | Venice dog photographer
The days began with me and my mom lugging my gear into the small but adorable pet store. After setting up my background and testing out the lighting, I grew more and more excited (and nervous) about the long day ahead. I skimmed over the list of dogs I’d be photographing and imagined what they would be like. Before I knew it, dog number one showed up and I didn’t have time to catch my breath until nine o’clock in the evening, when my day of shooting was complete. The day began with a clean background and excited photographer, and ended with a dirty background and excited, though exhausted, photographer.
I had such a good time taking Holiday Pet Portraits at Pawprint Essentials this month. I was privileged to meet a great number of beautiful dogs (and cats!) and their loving owners. I want to thank everyone who came out and participated. And a huge thank you goes out to Cheryl, owner of Pawprint Essentials, who let me come into her store, take over her grooming room, and photograph all of these animals. She’s awesome!
Enjoy the images. I have so many more to blog, so look for lots of posts during the holiday season!
Agador the awesome Chinese Crested.

Chloe | Lily

Paco

It’s impossible to photograph a dog and not get a good tongue shot. This is Daisy.

Chardonnay | Maggie

Lucy. I wanted to take her home with me.

Margarita

Mitzie

Little Martini. She is smaller than Walter. I could have just eaten her up!

That’s all for now! Be on the lookout for more Holiday Pet Portrait dogs, Mya the adorable Chihuahua, and Marissa the gorgeous (wait for it) human! Yes, I photographed a two legger and loved it. :)

Emilee, these are AWESOME! Usually, when you look at photos that were taken at a store event…you look and think “yup, those were taken in a store” lol. These look like they are done in a studio…wonderful work!!
