Happy (almost!) New Year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful, safe Christmas! I know I did. :) Christmas Day was spent relaxing and watching new movies (and seeing A Christmas Story, for the first time, LOL!). After Christmas our cousins from Washington DC came down to Ft Myers and we were able to spend some time with them (which I’ll probably post about soon!).

I’m sharing some shots of the mutts on Christmas Day, all of which were taken with my new lens, the 50mm 1.8! Oh, I love it! I do not want to take it off of my camera. :) I have a lot more photos to share of the dogs that I have amassed over the holiday, mainly of the new baby. But don’t worry, the Budman has had plenty of camera time, too! And I’ll probably share some family/child photos, too, so look for those soon.

And one more thing… ;) I’m working on a new website for 2009, but I don’t think it will be up tomorrow. It’s just a slightly different design, with some different/updated pages, new pricing, new galleries, etc. It isn’t quite finished yet, but I promise it will be soon!

Well, here are the photos (finally!)… :D

Wow, Buddy, don’t look so excited. After all, it’s only Christmas! lol

Haha, I love this face! He pushes his face into the couch and waits for you to pay attention to him. Such a baby!

I love Olivia’s head wrinkles and crazy ears. :)

Olivia meets white paper

This has been a fun couple of days with Olivia Jane. We’ve learned a lot about her and have had so much fun playing with her, watching her sleep, and even training her. Surprisingly, Olivia has only had a couple of accidents in the house. She’s doing great about going potty outside. She’s learning how to sit and lay down, I just have to make sure I’ve got something really yummy in my hand and there are no other distractions (like toys and Buddy!).

Buddy is (finally) starting to acknowledge her presence. He’ll look at her and occasionally sniff in her direction. Olivia has the strangest sounding bark and cry, and that will make him look her way. Today she barked at him, and he was about to play with her, but Meredith stopped him. Buddy is 90 pounds, Olivia is only 6.5! We were afraid he’d get too rough. I think he’ll warm up to her soon, probably when she’s a little bit bigger.

I tried to get a few shots of the little Miss on the white paper today. She was having none of it! She kept running to go find her toys and hopping up to get the camera strap. However, I managed to get a couple of good ones. I’ll share those and the outtakes. :)

First, the good ones:

And now the outtakes. Her tail is all crooked, just like Sparky’s was (only his was bald!).

ATTACK!

Guess who’s here!

Meet Oliva Jane!

We’re all in love with the new addition! Well, all of us except my Buddy. He’s shunning her. I do hope he warms up to her soon. Olivia wants to be near him, but he just walks away.

I’ll share some photos from picking her up for now, but expect a good, long post all about Miss Olivia asap!

She was a little wary about the camera at first, but when she heard the shutter click, those ears popped right up!

(L) Olivia’s brother, who was going to his new home the same day. (R) Olivia and Meredith :)

I almost can’t look at this one! Olivia and her brother are saying goodbye. We wanted to take them both home after we saw this.

And this is how she looked at me when we put her in the travel crate. Then she let out the strangest crying sound I’ve ever heard. I almost couldn’t handle it!
