I just wanted to let you all know that I’ll be in North Carolina visiting relatives next week. It was really short notice, but I’m excited about the change of scenery. The best news? Buddy gets to go! He’ll get to meet his cousin, a Scottish Terrier named Casey. I only hope that he’ll behave himself. As in, no cat chasing or deer hunting. I know I’ll take a gagillion pictures, so prepare yourself for a huge post when I get back! Hopefully I’ll be able to find a computer so I can give you guys little updates about what’s going on and share a couple of pictures.

Abigail is a frequent commenter on my blog, but she’s also my little sister. I did a quick shoot with her the other day and it went quite well. She likes to visit and put together puzzles with the older widows in our neighborhood. And she’ll talk your ears off any day. :)

Sorry I’ve been absent this past week! The reason? I’ve been dog/house-sitting with my older sister, Meredith, for her boss. You remember Lilly & Nena from here and here? Well, their mom went off on a European cruise and their dad had work to attend to out of town, so we were privileged to hang out with them for a few days. I definitely did not take as many pictures as I would have liked to (I hate bad indoor lighting), but I did manage to get in a few good ones thanks to Photoshop.

I must say, these girls are wonderful. Nena was my favorite, but Meredith preferred little Lilly because she is small enough to carry around wherever you go. She even came into work with us at her mom’s store. But I’m partial to bigger dogs - hence the 100+ pound black Lab – and Nena was so sweet. We definitely bonded with these two over our short stay with them, and I hope we’ll be able to watch them again.

Once again experimenting with different ways to add my logo to the photos. What do you think of this option?
