Ellie is a sweet, shy, and beautiful little Beagle that came into her mom’s life after the loss of another Beagle named Penny. At seven months old, Ellie is growing up fast and her mom wanted to get portraits taken to capture this time in the life of her new pup. We headed out to beautiful Boca Grande, the perfect setting to photograph this lovely girl. Ellie was a bit unsure at first, but with patience and the help of her favorite treats, she came out of her shell and worked the camera like she’d done it a thousand times! When we headed to the beach, Ellie’s energetic side was on full display as she raced through the sand, and at one moment, made a flying leap into the water (an action she was careful not to repeat). I had such a good time with Ellie and am in love with her photos. She is one photogenic dog–definitely the prettiest Beagle I’ve ever had the privilege to meet!

I love the spots on her head. Several people stopped and commented on her “pawprint” during the session.

True to her Beagle nature, she had her nose to the ground most of the time. It was her first trip to the beach, and there were many new scents to follow!
